Half way through the Wednesday league season and this game was teams at opposite ends of the table. Polish Army needed the win to keep within a touching distance of Magpie FC at the top of the table.

Shaka were first to get the scoring underway; Krisso Ebanks scoring in the 10th minute. Their lead was only held for a minute as they couldn’t keep out Michal’s effort. Phil Carroll restored Shaka’s lead in 12 minutes. The goals continued to flow as Polish drew level again with Michal’s second goal of the game to make it 2 a piece. Kamil ensured Polish Army went into the break 3-2 up with his 21st minute strike.

The Polish defence did their job in the second half; and more to the point so did their forwards. Two second half goals and a clean sheet meant that Polish won 5-2 to keep a grip on second place in the league.
