Exeter Gently vs Stockport Eagles

Recap

Having picked up their first win last week, Stockport Eagles went looking for a second against an Exeter Gently team who were still looking to get their first points on the board.

Boosted by last week’s win, the Eagles soared into a two goal lead in the opening 10 minutes through a pair of Ryan McAndrew goals. Tom Harrison pulled one back for Exeter half way through the period, but the Eagles lead by three at the break as McAndrew completed a first half hat trick before Michael Winn added their 4th on the stroke of half time.

When Ben Waugh scored their 5th 6 minutes after the restart the game was effectively over as a contest, and McAndrew and Alex Patterson added further goals before Phil Coyne grabbed a late consolation for Exeter. A second straight win for the Eagles, who move up to 4th in the table.
