SK Dons vs Stockport Eagles

Recap

Apart from the McMuffin Men, who look to be a level above, the rest of Sunday’s League Two looks nice and competitive, and either of these two teams could be making a push from promotion towards the end of this campaign despite both teams getting off to a stuttering start.

This one was pretty tight throughout, and it was an own goal that gave the Eagles the lead on 8 minutes, before Alex Patterson got their second 4 minutes later to see them take control. It looked like they might see this lead through to the break, but Jack Shariff made up for the own goal by pulling one back for the Dons a minute before the interval.

As the second half dragged on, it looked more and more likely that the first half goals were going to be how the game finished up. As we went into the final 10 minutes the Dons stepped up the pressure, and that pressure paid off when Kyle Norris drew them level with 6 minutes to play. There was no winning goal from either side though, and both teams shared the points.
