The McMuffin Men vs Expected Toulose

Recap

Expected Toulose faced a tough task this week as they went up against a McMuffin Men team who look set to take the step up to a higher level for next season if they keep up the form of the first half of the season.

As may have been expected, The McMuffins raced into an early three goal lead as debutants Chris Ogden and Elliot Handler scored either side of a Mac Eyre finish. Toulose hit back and scored two quick goals of their own through Harry Bridge and Bernard Blicharz to make it 3-2 half way through the opening period. McMuffin regathered themselves and two goals from another debutant in Joe Murphy eased them back into a three goal lead, before Ogden made it 4, 6 minutes before the break. Kane Jordan pulled another back for Toulose to mean they were just three goals behind at the break.

Things quickly went south for Toulose in the second period, which was far less competitive. Charley Eyre grabbed two in the opening 5 minutes of the half, and for a team that don’t score many goals, the result looked done for this week. Charley Eyre grabbed three more as the half went on, Murphy also grabbed another three, while Ogden grabbed two and Handler and Mac Eyre grabbed one apiece as one of the promotion favourites ran away with things in the second period. Toulose will have easier games in the run in to the end of the season, and it’s unlikely these two teams will be meeting again next season.
