Under Rated FC vs Deportivo Lack Of Talent

Recap

As part of the juggling process to get teams the fixture times they wanted this week, we ended up with a repeat of a fortnight ago’s fixtures, meaning Under Rated had the chance to repeat their earlier victory against a Deportivo team who were still looking for their first point of the campaign.

Quality of finishing was the key factor in the first period, as Under Rated scored 4 without reply to hold a comfortable half time lead. Colin Stelfox got the first on 9 minutes, Steven Batho doubled the lead on 11, and James McIver added two more in the 15th and 19th minutes.

Brad Peet got Deportivo on the board three minutes into the second period, but every time Deportivo threatened to make a game of it Under Rated hit back almost immediately. Stuart Carter scored three for Under Rated inside 8 minutes, each one coming after Deportivo had pulled one back through Rob Parker, and when Stelfox got his second 6 minutes from time to make it 8-3 there was no way back for Deportivo for another week. Peet did get his second three minutes from time, but even then there was still time for Batho and McIver to cap off another impressive win for Under Rated as they already start looking destined for Championship football next season.
